A lot of people want to know how the weather will affect
their move. Some go so far as to put off moving until the Spring or Summer and
"better weather." Unfortunately, real estate is a supply and demand business,
and real estate agents and landlords know there’s a higher demand and raise their
prices accordingly at those times of year. When it comes to weather and your move there are a few things you should know. First of all, here in the San Francisco area, Fall is almost always dry. We rarely get more than a day or two of rain before late December, or early January. But how about the dead of winter? Is it possible to move when it’s cold and blustery? Surprisingly, from your point of view, there’s no real difference what the weather is like. Strong Young Movers is equipped to move your best furniture in any weather. We have pads, ties, and shrink wrap to keep your furniture and goods totally dry while we are moving them. In addition to wrapping the furniture in watertight pads, our truck is enclosed, dry, and can operate safely in any weather. To top it off, our movers are completely waterproof and really good at dodging rain drops. And here in the San Francisco Bay Area we don’t generally have ice or snow to contend with, though even these would hardly slow us (we have moved people to Tahoe). So don’t let the fear of possible bad weather affect your move. If you can get a great deal on that apartment in November, take it. If Ikea has a December or January sale, buy that couch and let us deliver it. It’s really no problem. |
